Tyne to Summit is proud to be registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC), which means we exist purely to benefit the community, not to make any profit. Every penny we bring in through our events, partnerships, and merchandise goes straight back into supporting what we do: running safe, inclusive outdoor events, covering essential costs like insurance, medical training, and equipment, and helping local charities and causes that share our values. Last year, we donated thousands at Christmas to the Newcastle foodbank. Being a CIC means we’re legally bound to reinvest all proceeds into the community rather than into shareholders or private gain. It keeps us accountable and ensures that everything we do stays true to our purpose, to connect people, improve mental wellbeing, and make the outdoors more accessible for everyone.
